Heaven Gained an Angel

Death comes in many forms, and one of the most heinous deaths I've known occurred last Saturday in Buhl. That is the day my friend, Missy, was murdered in an act that was not only senseless but also down right evil.

Missy was part of a group called, "The Girlfriendz," on which I'm also a member, along with Teresa, Lynn, Michelle, Gayla, Renia, Joanne, Stephanie, Jane and Pam . We have good times and see each other through bad times. It's a sisterhood that contains a mix of personalities, professions and passions. I didn't always understand Missy but I knew she was a good person. If you needed something you could call on Missy. She had a smile that would brighten up any room, a contagious laugh and was a beautiful lady. Monday, Pam and I received sympathy cards from Missy, postdated the day she died. I spent the evening crying again and wondering why she died the way she did.

Missy's life was sometimes tumultuous but she overcame ... always and triumphed on. Her passion was domestic violence, and mostly because she had experienced it herself. I think the biggest honor for her would be donations made to domestic violence organizations in her name.

We may never know all that happened that day. We lost a sweet soul, yet heaven gained a beautiful angel. Missy, you are missed, you are loved, and we are honored to have known you. Stand on that mountain and be glorified in the knowledge that you no longer have to fear, worry or hurt.
